DEIMOS SATELLITE CENTRE and ANTENNA PARK

Our Satellite Integration Centre, situated in Puertollano, Castilla-la-Mancha, boasts a dedicated facility for the complete development and operation of space missions. This comprehensive complex includes an ISO 7 clean room for satellite integration, engineering offices, a laboratory, a satellite control center, a data processing center, and a 10-meter full-motion antenna. Additionally, we have ample space available to accommodate third-party antennas.

The Puertollano Antenna Park, an integral part of our facility, is home to Deimos’ ground stations. Initially constructed to support Deimos-2 and its 10.2-meter primary dish, the Park has since expanded to host four different antennas from various networks.

ONLY COMMERCIAL GROUND STATION IN SPAIN AND PORTUGAL

Deimos’ is the only ground station available for commercial use in Spain and Portugal. All other ground stations are owned by institutions (e.g., ESA, INTA) or operated exclusively by their owners (e.g., Hispasat).

IDEAL LOCATION

With its unique view from south-western Europe, our antenna park is ideally located for imaging of Europe and North Africa. Download data and free up memory right before an imaging pass or aim for near-real time imaging for North African / South European targets. Our location is also complementary to polar stations in Nordic countries, enabling near-real-time imaging with successive communication windows with target satellites.

UNDERUTILIZED SPECTRUM

Thanks to its relative isolation, few satellites are licensed for the available spectrum. We will take care of all your spectrum licensing needs for all your customers, in the benign regulatory environment of a country in the top 10 of satellite operators.

SPACE FOR GROWTH

We have more than 40,000 m2 of space for additional antennas, both on the ground and on our rooftop, with dedicated, specialized staff to support the installation and maintenance of new systems. We also have a mission control room available as well as office space for on-site staff, to support your most challenging missions.
