Contract with EUMETSAT to provide measurements from telescopes to support METEOSAT satellite operations

Elecnor DEIMOS provides since June 2018 support service to the operations of the METEOSAT satellite fleet, for EUMETSAT. This service provides both precise measurements from the optical sensors owned by DEIMOS and a network of collaborating sensors, precise orbits derived from them and calibration parameters of the manoeuvres executed by the satellites.

This service contract, awarded following a competitive tender followed by a period of validation, demonstrates the capabilities of Elecnor DEIMOS in operational systems, starting from the generation of observations from Deimos Sky Survey and collaborating sensors, to the generation of final products such as precise orbits and calibration parameters.
